I made this Card for my friend Wendy and I forgot to post it. I love vintage pictures and this is a picture of another friend when she was a baby. Hello bloggers, I know it's been alooooong time since I've blogged, but I decided that I wanted to enjoy my time this year with family and of course busy with Jared who is now in middle school!! I did not create too much this year,(as you can see) I do miss making cards but when you are not in a creative mode, you kinda loose it. Thanks to Terri for this wonderful shoe template, (was able to make this shoe). Wow, it's been awhile since I've posted.....Sorry, but life seems to be hectic when you have a child graduating and a ten year old! I had fun making a few of these matchbook note pads, I wanted to send them to stampers, but never had the time to send them out.

I wanted to challenge myself and make a card without using any patterned paper and use only ink and stamps. The stamps are from Oxford impressions and the trees are from stampin up. thanks for looking, have a great day!!!

I love paper dolls so when I received the new oxford stamps oxford impressions. I wanted to dress her up. I stamped the girl on different types of scrap paper and cut the clothes out. I need to make more and post them, I think it's alot of fun.

A quick card for a friend, this is my favorite image of the new fairie stamps, also from oxford. The background is a flower stamp that I first embossed then sponged the background and then stamp flowers again with different colors. Have a great day!

I know it's been awhile since I've blogged, christmas cards are just being made, projects are done, above is a snowman I've made (idea from cloth, paper, and scissor) I love him so I made acouple of them. Another project below that I've always wanted to make are these soldered christmas ornaments. I usually make these with 2x3 wood from Michaels but I wanted to make them different this year.

Tim Holtz is so talented!! I've been peeking at his blog and he has the most wonderful tags!! I made one and used one of his background techniques, I will have to go back and look at the rest and make more. The image is from paperwhimsy, purchased a bunch of her images and haven't made much.....I need to get on the ball. Okay back to creating, need to make more cards!!

I started making halloween cards today, it was nice to be in some kind of creative mood again. The girl below is really a cute stamp (from stampland). I just whited her eyes out and painted her lips red to give her that spooky look.

The cat stamp above was purchased at Michaels last year ($1.00 bin) this card is really a ten minute card!! Some times its just fun to make quick cards. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Oh my gosh, I can't believe it's been so long since I've blogged, sorry guys. Summer was terribly hectic for me. Family from both sides were here......I never made it to my craftroom the whole summer :( Entertaining is very draining (mentally and in your pocketbook) lol. Anyways, I hope everyone had a great summer. Boys are back in school and I am kinda glad, the house is quiet though.

I finally finished sewing this apron, It's made with an old pair of jeans, I was going to send it to somerset sew, but it feels like its not finish, any input?

I know it's only September, but I felt like making something that has to do with halloween so I pulled out my beads and whatever junk I had already and came out with this bracelet.

I made this bracelet with plastic shrinkadink (I had for years) some charms and beads. it's amazing to see what you can create by just looking at what you already have! Anyways, have a great evening!!!

hi everyone, sorry it's been awhile since I've blogged. I've been busy with the boys (baseball) almost over, and of course school. 3 more days of school and we are done! I'm also now in my home! yeah! But now I'm unpacking again, seems like forever, but I know there will be an end to the chaos. I received a new stamp set from oxfordimpressions and made the card above.

I went to a stamp convention acouple weeks ago and bought these stamps. the company's name is artful illusions. I think their website is still down, I love their stamps, the tickets are from stampers anonymous. Now that I'm in my home I can start creating without leaving and blog more. Have a great weekend!

I finally made Marley's card.....I don't know why I took so long to make it, it's a good thing that she's only one, she won't remember her aunt sent it late. I wasn't totally happy with the composition, but I am done. :)

Do you have so much stuff that you don't even know what you have? well I do, so for 2008, I have decided not to buy anymore embellishments until I use most of what I have, I have spent so much money on embellishments!! My goal this year is to get much more organized....spend more time creating rather than searching for things.

I purchased a bunch of christmas stickers last year and never used it, so this year I decided to use them. the silver snowflakes and sentiment are rub ons.

Okay, my youngest son Jared did not want me to buy him a halloween costume, so he went as a baseball player! I have to laugh because he's eight and acts like his older brother, he wanted to be a scary halloween creature and I would not allow him so I have no pictures of him because I have so many pictures of him with his uniform......but my sister sent me this picture of my cute baby niece, Isn't she the cutest bunny! The one good thing about being stuck in my own home, I can make some cards. These are from oxford impressions, I started this last night and finished it this morning. The stars were silver and I embossed it with Tim Holtz's walnut ink embossing powder. Has anyone started on christmas? Okay, a break from halloween stuff....so I started to pulling out my encaustic (wax) tools. I wanted to make some background images and so I pulled out my wax stuff and mixed colors and different type of tips and this is what I ended up with. it is alot of fun, it's alittle messy though because your working with hot wax.

I have come to conclusion that my craftroom will never be tidy or super organized. I have too many unfinished projects in it. I am pleased to say that I built the long cabinet with the counter top myself. I purchased the wall organizer from a scrapbook store that was going out of business in my area, I cut it in half and hung it above the wall cabinets. Sometimes I look at all of what I have purchased and have collected over the years and get overwelmed, does it stop me from buying? NEVER!! lol (especially stamps, can never have enough of that)

My last day in Texas and I did a few photos shots of Marly (about 200) this one is one of my favorite picture, I will have to upload a few more pictures of her that I really like, I'm using my sisters computer and her programs are alittle different from mine, it's a bit difficult to download pictures. It has been a quick 10 days for me but I will be glad to be home tomorrow. I will miss Marly very much.

I had also visited a few scrapbook stores, one in particular called Archivers, I guess their big in the west and midwest area. I had forgotten that Texas has an 8% tax and not to mention that they were a bit over priced, I purchased over 60.00 worth of paper. I will have to put them to good use and not waste any of them.

Sorry, no artwork today, I felt like blogging my kids today, we drove out to the beach the other day and had taken some pictures, sometimes it good to focus on the simple blessings and thankful that my kids are content.

I hope everyone is having a good summer, I have been busy with the kids and also living at the beach, I find that I don't get much done during the summer, I managed to get some of the unfinished projects done around my office. Above is a project I started a year ago, I was going to send it to somerset and of course the deadline passed, oh well, maybe next year? It's just a black canvas bag that I purchased from Michaels and embellished it with a vintage photo that I bought from ebay, some fabric, and layered some buttons on the side. a small pin with a stamped witch and charm was added on the handle of the bag. Sorry the picture is so big when you click on it, I forgot to reduce the size!

Another unfinished project that I just finished making. I have reupholstered the chair above. I should've taken a before and after shot, but I forgot. It used to be an orange chair, and I recovered it with a chocolate microfiber fabric. didn't it turn out cute? I did not do the cushions though, I did not want to sew the piping (too much work).

I have family coming for the next several weeks and I will be going to Texas to visit my little sister for a week(I'm excited to see her and her family) So thanks for looking, and hope you all have a safe summer.

I've been substituting in my son's school for the last few days and I haven't had time to create, so last night I did alittle bit of transparency art, I love the fact that you can color the image and get a different affect on the card. Ive used this image quiet a few times, she's just the cutest girl.
I came home this afternoon to see the stamper sampler on my counter! Last year I sent them 5 cards and they published them all! I know, the little things in life does get my excited.

My friend Wendy made this beautiful book, it has many pockets, a place to journal and picture frames inside. Its a great little book, so I decided to make one.
This is my version of the book, I am 95% done, waiting for a few things to come in so I can finish up the book.

Isn't she a cutie pie! I love her little asian face! She has so much rolls, I could eat her! My sister made me cry before she left for Texas, she asked Rob and I to be Marleys godparents. I was overjoyed and I am so proud of my little sister, she has accomplished alot and has done well for her self.

It has been along time since I have scrapped anything, but since my sister had her baby, I told her I would do a small album for her, this is the first layout I have done, I am attempting to do alittle bit of digital scrapbooking, I have not mastered it yet. but I did download the word "sweet" a freebie from Jennifer Wellborn's blog. The color is alittle bright, but it works.

Today Justin is 16. I cannot believe how fast time has flown. I found this picture of him while I was cleaning my office, he wasn't even a year old. I have realized that the older they get, the faster time goes by, so enjoy them while their young, spend as much time as you can and always say I love you.

Justin is the one on the left, this is the most current picture I have of him, and Jared who is 7, my cutie pie, he's my joker. Two boys, two opposite personalities, It's amazing how god created them.
